Yes,

California is the prime example of how liberalism can destroy good life.

Dbear,

Have you noticed what happened where you live?

Why are you facinated with us?

The strongest arm of the AMERICAN economy you have a problems with.

Even you have to admit thats fucking weird to bite the paw off of the biggest part of the dog.

I've lived in San Diego for 25 years.

While I wish it wasn't part of California, FYI it is.

So whats your bitch with the eighth largest economy on the block?

davebear - Aug 27, 2010 11:11 pm (#603 of 609) Reply

Jackie,

25 years ago California:

- had more high paying jobs with forward thinking innovative companies than could be filled. As a fairly recent college grad I had my pick of several jobs I was interested in.

- had expensive but still attainable housing

- had among the best if not the best public schools in the US

- had a top shelf state college system of very low cost to state residents

- had lower state taxs than I was paying in Illinois

- had billions $ state budget surplus

- you could go to clubs in Tijuana and drink top shelf US liquor for $2 a glass and party with some of the most beautiful and open women in the world, who didn't speak a lick of English

Now:

- huge public employee contracts, overspending for state services, unchecked expansion of the state welfare system, out of control illegal immigration, have led to about a $20 billion shortfall with little hope of recovery.

- shifting the tax burden to businesses of all sizes has forced thousands of them to leave the state, now its hard to find any decent job.

- schools now rank only above Mississippi. Public college is now a pipe dream for most high schoolers unless they have nearly an A average and quadruple the tuition money.

- home ownership is out of reach for so many, and taxes, fees, environmental fees have bled the homebuyers and the builders.

- you now risk your life going to a club in Mexico

I'd get my ass out of Dodge if I were you.

But seriously...the lowest unemployment rate is in North Dakota.

Why is that?

Do you think its anything like California?

How come we are always the target?

How come never Illinois?

Is it because that...well...Illinois just isnt California?

Is it our fault that they live there & we live here?

Or is it their fault that they choose to live that way...

& when things go south blame it on us?

As if we had anything to do with the way they want to live.

California is easy to point a finger at if you dont live there.

It's ALWAYS CALIFORNIS's fault...when the failure is in your state.

The cowards way out in the other 49 is to blame us.

I'm used to dealing with cretins who cant keep their own house in order...

and fingering us as somehow being the cause of their problems.

You get used to being the big dog on the block that the little dogs snap your heels at because they havnt been paper trained.

Now anytime any of these other states want to step up & be the eighth largest economy on the planet...

all they have to do is shut the fuck up & be the eighth largest economy on the planet.

Thats all they have to do.

I will respect them when they get there.

Thats not asking too much...take over the blame for awhile from us.

Now theres this great silence out there....

from CUNTS who can point fingers...

but cant get shit done.

I loved CA when I lived there. San Juaquin Vally - Mountains to the east beaches to the west! I don't know about it now.

Jackie,

People form opinions based on what they see in the news and the media.

They see fruits and nuts in San Fran, Hollywood and gangs in LA, and figure that's what California is.

Same thing goes the other way. My company sends people to Illinois for training. When they come back they ask me "why do people even live there?"
