... Allow me, then, to explain the reason -- the real reason -- why the aforementioned devote the enormous amounts of time, effort, ink, and pixels to attack one woman, Sarah Palin. Palin is a private citizen, who does nothing but give speeches, sell books, post Facebook messages, and is a "Fox News contributor" whose only substantive "contributions" so far, from what I can see, have been to Fox News' bottom line and to her own bank account.
After all, we never saw the left direct this level of vitriol -- no, let's call it what it is, hatred -- against the likes of Ron Paul, Steve Forbes, Ross Perot...
After all, it's not like Sarah Palin could actually be elected President of the United States or anything. Or could she? Of course, she could, or at least the people attacking her think so. ...
Plan B: dissuade the Republicans from nominating Palin in the first place. Throw everything, including the kitchen sink, at her. Blast her with every crack, every criticism, every accusation, no matter how absurd, how hysterical, how rabid and irrational, and hope something sticks. Sully her good name; taint her so badly in the public's eyes that Republicans won't dare nominate her.
Either that, or turn on the TV at noon, January 20, 2013 to see Barack Obama, out after one soon-to-be-forgotten term, standing on a platform in front of the White House -- and the entire world puts her left hand on the Bible, raises her right, and repeating after Chief Justice Roberts (or reading from her palm) says:
I, Sarah Louise Palin, do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of the President of the United States...

Rules for Bullshit Bingo
1. Before Barrack Obama's next televised speech, prepare your "Bullshit Bingo" card by drawing a square.
I find that 5" x 5" is a good size -- and dividing it into columns --five across and five down. That will give you 25 1-inch blocks.
2. Write one of the following words/phrases in each block:
. Restored our reputation . Strategic fit . Let me be clear . Make no mistake . Back from the brink . Signs of recovery . Out of the loop . Benchmark . Job creation . Fiscal restraint . Win-win . Affordable health care . Previous Administration . Greed on Wall Street . At the end of the day . Empower (or empowerment) . Touch base . Mindset . Corporate greed . Ballpark . Game plan . Leverage . Inherited as in "I inherited this mess" . Relief for working families (alternate - "unprecedented")3. Check off the appropriate block when you hear one of those words/phrases.
4. When you get five blocks horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, stand up and shout "BULLSHIT!"
Testimonials from past satisfied "Bullshit Bingo" players:
"I had been listening to the speech for only five minutes when I won." - Jack W., Boston
"My attention span during speeches has improved dramatically." - David D., Florida
"What a gas! Speeches will never be the same for me after my first win." - Bill R., New York City
"The atmosphere was tense in the last speech as 14 of us waited for the fifth box." - Ben G., Denver
"The speaker was stunned as eight of us screamed "BULLSHIT!" for the third time in two hours." Harry A, Kansas City

another nail in the Global Warming coffin
The National Climate Data Center (NCDC) uses this massive network of sensors to determine daily highs and lows at the 1,219 weather stations in its Historical Climatology Network (HCN). The network has existed since 1892, but only in the last decade has it come under intense scrutiny to determine whether the figures it measures can be trusted.
For the past three years, a group of zealous laymen has visited and photographed nearly every one of the weather stations to determine whether they have been placed properly. And what they found is a stunning disregard for the government's own rules: 90 percent of the sensors are too close to potential sources of heat to pass muster, including some very odd sources indeed:
Nobama was so arogant at that healthcare summitt.
HE is the joker who wont budge....and wants to rip off Americans for the dumbmicrats agenda.

Fox News covered Lund's opinion panel on the Health Care charade. The group is split 1/2 Dem and 1/2 Rep.
The most significant reactions were"
All except two (out of 24) thought the bi-partison discussions should start over at square one.
All except a few thought the Reps won the debate.
All except two said they would be unhappy if Congress rams this legislation through.

"Mike was not drunk he felt he wasn't being heard and was just lashing out (my take not his). I play WOW with him almost daily and he is not some digruntled leftist.
You guys just pissed him off and he decided to give back what he felt he was getting. Again my take not his. I have never talked to him about politics there and never intend to. He is a good guy though. Been a bit baffled by all the douche talk but then again guys who I feel are full of themselves I tend to call a douche."
Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate your character.
I'm not lashing out. I had to dumb down my message to the crowd. Pandering to the lowest common denominator, as it were. "The world is a dangerous place to live; not because of the people who are evil, but because of the people who don't do anything about it."
The Platonic fold is the explosive boundary where the Platonic mindset enters in contact with the messy reality, where the gap between what you know and what you think you know becomes dangerously wide.
I'm not saying I'm the brightest bulb on the tree, but I know that I don't know, and I don't assume that what I know is all that there is to know, or that it's what's right.
But if you think that you've cornered the market on the only way to do things, and it's just something you heard Hannity or Beck say, and you have absolutely no orignal thoughts of your own and haven't done anything to understand better all of the aspects and angles, and then you call someone a drunk for disagreeing, you're a douche. Lot's of people who post here have no original thought of their own and would more than likely suffer some sort of CVA if they ever had one.
So if the douche fits...not everyone fits the douche, but those that do wear the moniker well.
Then again, I'm just drunk.

BMO finally got around to the lipstick but it's still a pig.

That is something to be proud of. We never thought it could get any dumber.
