I thought the Colts had it in the bag and then Manning threw that INT, then game over!

It was an entertaining game. Much better than I anticipated. I really wanted Brees to do well and he came up big. Payton had the right strategy by keeping Manning off the field as much as possible and I was stunned at the onside kick to open the 3rd quarter. The MVP should have been Porter who intercepted the pass and scored the back breaking touchdown. He sure anticipated Manning well.

Outstanding game! Sean Peyton really showed his worth. When his team fell behind 10-zip it would have been easy for a team to begin doubting itself and fade, but he adjusted offensively and got them right back into it. The Colts took away the big play, and Brees masterfully took what the defense gave him. They used the run just enough to sell the play-action. And the defense made the plays they needed to make despite not being able to lay a hand on Manning.

There's gonna be a month-long party in New Orleans!!!!!!!!!!! I'll be there in March!

Peyton rolled the dice at the right time. The on-sides kick was a 35% chance... but to let the colts drive & score would have been a blow. The upside, cooling Manning even more... made it worth it.

It was a very entertaining game. The last few Super Bowls have been very entertaining and gone to the wire.

Kudos to both teams for putting on a great game last night.

hey, and the NFC won! I didn't think about that.

The Giants won a couple years ago while the Cards SHOULD HAVE won last year.

Should been 3 in a row for the NFC.

I was just thinking... besides the patriots two years ago, and UNLV in the NCAA in 1991... how many previosuly unbeaten teams ever lost just that last game of the season?

Is Mikey around, he may have already looked this up....

Anyway, I enjoyed seeing the favorite lose last night -- but not as much as when it happened to the Pats.

Peyton Manning walked off before the end of the game and then proceeded at the press conference to infer the colts lost the game, not that the Saints won it. Totally classless. Prick..

I thought he handled himself with class during the press conference. He didn't dodge questions and put the loss squarely on his shoulders.

Gave the Saints credit for the way they played.

That sounds pathetic. If the Colts "lost" I know which one takes the most blame. Any chance Manning was mainly roasting himself? That pick just crushed them.... If it were me, and I personally lost the SB for my team... I'd have trouble just sitting still, I'd be so pissed at myself. I might not make any sense at all for quite a while.

It was Manning who lost that game, and he knows it.

No,he didn't. He should have stuck around, even ol'#4 does that.

He had to stay & shake -- major blow it.

navigator - Feb 9, 2010 4:47 am (#967 of 973) Reply

yeah, he knows he blew it with that pick, they were driving and would have very likely scored. that gave the Saints a 14 pt lead and gave their D some life.

Report said 11 people were waiting at the airport in Indy to welcome their team home...
